Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has offered insight into the injury status of Nathan Ake, Kyle Walker, and John Stones following their Premier League encounter against Arsenal on Sunday, which ended in a goalless draw.
During the match at the Etihad Stadium, defender Nathan Ake sustained a potential calf injury in the first half, leading to his substitution by Rico Lewis.
Ake’s injury adds to the mounting concerns for Guardiola’s side, as both Kyle Walker and John Stones had previously suffered injuries while on international duty.
Walker and Stones picked up their respective injuries while representing England against Brazil and Belgium during the international break.
Guardiola addressed the injuries in a post-match interview with Sky Sports, acknowledging the challenges faced by his squad.

Guardiola stated, “It is what it is.
“[Ake] played two games this week [including] with the national team in Holland. John will be better soon, I think. Kyle will be longer, now Nathan will be longer,” he added.
