Gunmen have abducted Aribibia Fubara, a director at the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service.
The assailants reportedly arrived at the Marine Base area of Port Harcourt, the state capital, via the Okirika Waterfront in a speedboat.
Witnesses said that the six gunmen stormed the area in a commando-style operation, firing indiscriminately into the air.
Upon reaching their target, the gunmen swiftly identified Fubara, forced him into their boat, and sped away. As of Monday, the abductors had not yet made contact with Fubara’s family.
