An unsettling event unfolded today as unknown gunmen ambushed a police checkpoint along the Abakaliki-Enugu expressway, wreaking havoc in their wake. The targeted checkpoint, situated at the Ishieke Junction on the outskirts of Abakaliki metropolis, fell victim to the brazen attack.
