Mr. Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Market Amalgamated Traders’ Association (OMATA), was brutally murdered on Saturday night, sparking tension in Enugu, the Coal City capital.
According to DAILY POST, Aniagu, who led the state’s largest market, was shot and killed by suspected assassins in the Topland Area.
The attackers reportedly fled the scene with his car after the killing.

A disturbing video circulating online shows Aniagu’s lifeless body riddled with bullets, as shocked residents gather around in disbelief.
The Enugu State Police is yet to issue any statement on the incident.
