Former Senator Dino Melaye has expressed satisfaction with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court’s decision in the money laundering case involving former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.
DAILY POST reports that the FCT High Court, on Tuesday, ordered Bello to be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending his bail application.
Justice Maryann Anenih also scheduled the hearing of the N110 billion money laundering case, filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), for January 29 and 30, as well as February 25 and 27, 2024.
Reacting to the development, Dino, in a post on his official X handle, claimed he had predicted Bello’s imprisonment nearly six years ago.
According to the former lawmaker, “6 years ago, SDM predicted Yahaya Bello would end up in prison.

“Today, he will be spending Christmas in Kuje prison. All powers belong to God”.
