Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi

In a developing story, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has reportedly crashed in East Azerbaijan province.

According to reports from Jewish Breaking News (JBN), initial reports indicate that the helicopter was part of Raisi’s entourage.

However, rescuers are currently en route to the crash site.

Iran’s helicopter fleet includes various models, but international sanctions have made it challenging for the country to obtain necessary parts. Much of Iran’s military air fleet dates back to before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
