Paul Ibe, the media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has urged Nigerians to hold Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu accountable if what he described as a “satanic agenda” against the Dangote refinery succeeds.
Ibe made this statement on Sunday via his X handle, alleging that both local and external forces are conspiring to undermine the refinery.
In his post, Ibe emphasized that the plot to sabotage the Dangote refinery is becoming increasingly apparent, warning that the consequences would be grave if it comes to fruition.
He stated, “It is now crystal clear that there is a deliberate agenda of both local and external interests to kill and bury the @DangoteGroup Refinery. The drama to this obnoxious end is playing out before our eyes. Nigerians should hold @officialABAT responsible if this satanic agenda succeeds. DangoteRefineryMustNotDie
The controversy comes amid reports that the Dangote refinery has yet to receive 26 million barrels of crude oil allocation, which was reportedly facilitated by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) in the first quarter of 2024.
The refinery’s failure to secure this allocation has sparked concerns about its operational future.
