Popular comedian and activist Adebowale ‘Debo’ Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has criticized Nigerians for their nonchalant attitude in demanding accountable governance from their leaders.
He made this statement in a post shared on his official X handle on Monday.
Macaroni in his post stated that Nigerians “are busy kissing their bumbum” instead of doing the needful.
He further lamented the continuous increase in prices of commodities adding that “People are suffering.”

His post reads,”The people are suffering!!! The price of everything is up. Instead of you people to hold your leaders accountable, you are busy kissing their bumbum. E ni ku re!!!
Reacting to his post, netizens has relayed their thoughts and grievances.
An X user, Omotosho Benedict wrote,”Before he came to power, mathematical set for secondary school students was below 1k. It’s 3k now. They keep kissing.”
Maney wrote,”They are busy with tribal, religious and political bigotry.”
Another X user, Mirabel wrote,”It’s just so sad. Sometimes, I think it’s not ordinary these leaders don use jazz for us we’re all looking like Lucozade boost.”
