National Hospital in Abuja to Set Up VIP Section for Tinubu, Governors, Top Govt Officials

The National Hospital Abuja has announced plans to establish a VIP section to serve presidents, governors, top government officials, and other esteemed individuals.

The hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Mahmud Raji, revealed this on Thursday in Abuja.

He mentioned that the VIP section would include a residential building or accommodation facility that would resemble a five-star or even seven-star hotel.

Prof. Raji added that the VIP section would feature a toxicology lab, noting that no public health facility currently has such a lab to test for poison in food or the environment in case of emergencies for visiting presidents.

Additionally, the section would include a renal clinic for kidney transplants, a cardiac center, an orthopedic center, and a neuroscience institute for both training and services.

The Chief Medical Director also highlighted that the hospital has seen growth and improvements in terms of manpower, equipment, and infrastructure, as well as significant medical achievements since it was founded in 1999.

To celebrate the hospital’s 25th anniversary, a symposium and a gala night have been planned.

Prof. Raji also pointed out that many Nigerians are unaware of the available medical facilities and services in the country, which leads them to continue seeking medical treatment abroad.
