JUST IN: Former Humanitarian Affairs Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq Arrives EFCC Office

The former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has appeared on the premises of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

During her tenure under the leadership of former President Muhammadu Buhari, she is under investigation for her alleged involvement in the laundering of N37,170,855,753.44, reportedly executed by the contractor James Okwete.

She wrote on social media on Monday morning, “I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating.”
