Hunger, High cost of Living Not Only in Our Country — Tinubu Tells Nigerians

Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu has addressed the economic challenges facing Nigerians, stating that the high cost of living and rising food prices are not unique to Nigeria but are part of a global issue.

In his nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, marking the 2024 Independence Day anniversary, Tinubu acknowledged the central concern of Nigerians: the rising cost of living. He noted that this issue is being experienced globally, with prices increasing in various regions.

He stated, “The central concern of our people today is the high cost of living, especially food costs.

“This concern is shared by many around the globe as prices and the cost of living continue to rise worldwide”.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration is implementing measures aimed at reducing the cost of living and alleviating economic hardship.

“My fellow Nigerians, be assured that we are implementing many measures to reduce the cost of living here at home,” Tinubu added.

Meanwhile, Nigerian youths are expected to stage a nationwide protest in response to ongoing economic challenges, including hunger and other economic hardships.
