Emmanuel Petit, ex-midfielder for Chelsea, has cautioned the club against pursuing Victor Osimhen, who is among the players rumored for a summer transfer to Stamford Bridge.
With a release clause ranging from €120m to €130m in his recent contract extension, Osimhen’s acquisition might not be the wisest investment, according to Petit.
He advocates for prioritizing the development of the existing squad over seeking new additions.
“I don’t think Chelsea need Gyokeres or Osimhen.

“With Chelsea, there are so many players who are not playing to their level and can do so much more,” Petit told Genting Casino.
Osimhen has also been rumored to be considering a transfer to both Arsenal and the reigning Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain.
