A Lagos hotelier, Managing Director, and CEO of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites in Ejigbo, known as Macdonald, has been arrested and paraded by the Zone 2 Police Command for allegedly sodomizing a 16-year-old secondary school boy.
The suspect admitted to having sex with the boy twice but denied using him for rituals.
The victim’s father, Edozie Christian, a spare parts dealer at Ladipo market, reported that the suspect lured his son and four other teenagers to his hotel, where he sodomized them and threatened them with death if they revealed the incidents. This report led to the suspect’s arrest.
In a video shared by TVC News, the hotelier, after his arrest, stated, “I swear with my life, that it is only sex that I had with him (Chiagoziem), that I never used him for any ritual. I swear in the name of my late parents that are in the grave, I swear with my children that I never did anything ritual it was just sex.”
The Zone 2 Police Command in Lagos State paraded Macdonald before newsmen at their headquarters in Onikan over the allegations of unlawful carnal knowledge of the 16-year-old boy.
According to the Zonal Public Relations Officer, CSP Umma Ayuba, the suspect allegedly committed “an act against the order of nature.”
This followed a petition dated January 23rd submitted to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade, by the victim’s father. The petition alleged the suspect engaged in unlawful sexual acts with the minor. CSP. Bangajiya Uba was assigned to investigate.

The victim, initially fearful due to the suspect’s alleged threats of losing his sanity if he spoke out, confided in his mother. He recounted how the suspect had sexual intercourse with him. The victim described being taken by the suspect from the hotel to his residence at No. 4B, Oshoba Street, Akowonjo-Egbeda, Lagos, where he was “forcefully subjected to unlawful sexual acts.” Afterward, the suspect allegedly gave him a bottle of Lucozade Boost and N5000. The victim’s parents then reported the matter to the Isheri-Osun Police Division.
Ayuba said that instead of cooperating, the suspect refused police invitations and tried to manipulate the process. The victim’s father then escalated the case to the Zone 2 Command Headquarters, where the hotelier was apprehended. The victim underwent a medical examination at Mirabel Medical Centre.
A key witness, a friend of the victim present at the hotel, corroborated the allegations, confirming the suspect’s actions with the victim and an attempted similar act with him, which he resisted. This friend also provided recorded telephone conversations, chat histories, and video evidence filmed by the victim at the suspect’s residence using the suspect’s phone.
Initially, the suspect denied knowing the victim but admitted to taking him to his residence when confronted with the evidence. The suspect allegedly threatened the victim with psychological harm if he revealed the incident, and since his confession, the victim has shown signs of mental distress.
The Zone 2 PRO also disclosed unprofessional conduct by the initial Investigating Police Officer, who allegedly tampered with the case file by removing a crucial witness statement. This officer has been detained and is undergoing disciplinary procedures. Ayuba clarified that the medical report from Mirabel Medical Centre is authentic and has not been tampered with.
The victim is receiving medical treatment, and the suspect will face formal charges in court after the investigation. The suspect is also accused of luring five other teenagers to his hotel and subjecting them to similar acts, threatening them with death if they spoke out.
