Social media commentator Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) has revealed that the N180 million NGO money was not missing.
He stated that it was a prank pulled to sample the stupidity of some Nigerians who would not verify information but go ahead to share it to the entire world.
Recall that VeryDarkMan on December 27 claimed that over ₦180 million was stolen from his NGO’s account following a hacking incident.
However, in a video shared on his official X handle on Tuesday morning, he said no money was missing.

His words,”Since the N180 million naira missing from the NGO account, I’ve been seeing a lots of comments that i never expected will be thrown at me but I really want to thank God because everything I’ve done on this social media, I have done it because this is who i am and i thank God because I didn’t do it to seek public validation and when I looked at the comments and i was like what’s my offence?
“All I do on social media with my platform is to advocate when there’s need to advocate. Most of the time I put in my money, sometimes I do borrow money because i want Nigeria to be a better place where people have a voice.
“Some people were even insulting my mum calling my mother thief.
“80% of people showed me they are dumb.You see this whole thing that happened, it’s to deliberately to show you people that you people are stupid.
“We’re in a country where anything that happens in the media, nobody bothers check and investigate it. Everybody starts sharing, start commenting , they don’t even want to check it.
“Nobody sat down to think, wait the VeryDarkMan man that we know, if N180 million is missing from his NGO account , he will not be going to Jos when the police headquarters is in Abuja.
“…Did I show you were the N180 million naira is missing from my account? Did I show you?
“All I did was to tell my website guy to shut it down first, make we use this people catch cruise, make we teach this people lesson cos they are dumb and its very clear that most of you are very stupid.”
