“Obidient Directorate”: I Remain a Committed, Loyal Member of Labour Party—Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, affirmed his continued commitment and loyalty to the party.

Obi recounted being approached by a journalist at Abuja airport, who inquired if his recent remarks about the ‘Obidient Movement’ indicated an intention to leave the LP.

He clarified that his aspiration and desire are to collaborate closely with other party leaders to reconcile valued members and form partnerships with like-minded individuals and parties across the country.

Obi, in a statement on Thursday, said, “For the avoidance of doubt, ‘I remain a committed, Loyal Labour Party member’. That is my definitive response to all Nigerians who may be in doubt about my party affiliation in the light of recent reports and conflicting interpretations of recent political expressions.
