I Would Have Skipped 2024 Race if Not for Trump- Biden

 2024

President Joe Biden revealed that he might have opted out of a 2024 re-election bid if not for the potential challenge posed by Donald Trump, whom he views as a distinctive threat to the United States.

Speaking at a fundraising event for his 2024 campaign outside Boston, Biden stated, “If Trump wasn’t running, I’m not sure I’d be running. We cannot let him win.”

This candid self-assessment from Biden coincides with growing concerns among even staunch Democratic voters about the president’s age.

Having turned 81 last month, 2024, Biden is already the oldest occupant of the Oval Office in history.

Responding to criticisms, Trump, the former president from 2017 to 2021, remarked at a Fox News town hall on Tuesday, “Somebody gave him a talking point they thought would sound good.”

Despite questions about his age, Biden, seeking a second four-year term in the upcoming election, asserted to reporters at the White House that he has no intentions of dropping out of the race.

“No, not now,” Biden replied when asked if he would consider stepping aside should Trump, aged 77, withdraw from seeking a second term.

“Look, he is running, and I have to run.” When questioned about whether he would have run if Trump were not in the race, Biden responded, “I expect so.”

During his 2020 presidential campaign, Biden frequently cited Trump’s handling of various issues, including the 2017 white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, as a motivating factor for his decision to run.

As Biden faces minimal competition for his party’s nomination in the upcoming election, he continues to position Trump as a threat to democracy itself.

Meanwhile, Trump, currently facing criminal charges over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results, has portrayed Biden as a dangerous autocrat.

Recent polling data indicates that the Republican frontrunner is leading Biden in hypothetical matchups in key swing states and on a national level. # 2024
