Don’t Call Me, I Will Expose You—Tunde Ednut Warns Powerful People Pressuring Him to Delete Posts Exposing Nigerians’ Suffering

Nigeria’s leading social media influencer, Tunde Olaoluwa Adekunle, widely known as Tunde Ednut, has accused unnamed powerful figures of pressuring him to delete social media posts that highlight hardship in Nigeria.

In a recent post on his Instagram account, Tundeednut said calls and texts flood in whenever he posts about the country’s problems.

He warned that if anyone else called to ask him to remove posts about Nigeria, he would respond harshly and release the recorded conversations.

He said, “To anyone watching, if one more person calls me and tells me to take down posts about Nigeria, Ogun o kee you, I go swear for you.

“Let this be the last time. I’ll expose you and go post our recorded conversation. Don’t call me,” he wrote.

He accused those who contact him of enjoying the proceeds of power while ordinary Nigerians suffer.

Tundeednut also described himself as an opponent of the ruling party, saying, “I am not a supporter of APC; see me as an opposition.”

He added that he left the country, saying, “If Nigeria was working, I would not have escaped,” and concluded his message with a plea, “May God be with Nigeria.”

The online figure’s allegations point to growing tensions among government officials trying to silence commentators from talking about the ills and hardships in Nigeria under the current administration.

Tunde Ednut’s threat to publish recorded calls, if carried out, could intensify scrutiny of those he says are trying to silence him.
