The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, dismissed speculations about contesting against Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential race. In a media chat, He attributed these rumors to discontented politicians unhappy with his ministerial appointment.

He categorically stated, “I have no plans to contest against Tinubu.”

Addressing concerns about potential destabilization of Rivers State’s political structure, Wike sternly warned against any attempts, asserting, “I won’t allow anyone to crumble the political structure in Rivers State.”

During the discussion, the minister also highlighted key projects initiated under his leadership in the FCT, emphasizing that some would be ready for commissioning to coincide with Tinubu’s one year in office next May.
