Jesutega Onokpasa, a lawyer and public affairs analyst, has declared that he will not support Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing widespread dissatisfaction over the state of the nation.
Speaking during an interview with Arise TV on Friday, Onokpasa stated emphatically that although he remains a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he would not back Tinubu for a second term.

He said that Tinubu failed to fulfil key promises made during the 2023 campaign, particularly regarding reducing the cost of living.
“I’m not leaving my party, the APC, for anybody, including President Tinubu,” Onokpasa said. “When we campaigned for him in 2023, he promised to make food cheap. Today, we cannot deny the high rate of hunger in the land.”

Onokpasa further revealed plans to collaborate with other disillusioned APC members who, like him, feel let down by Tinubu’s leadership.
“I will work with APC members — those of us who put Tinubu in office and are dissatisfied with him — to remove him from power,” he declared.
