Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy has issued a stern warning following the detention of Lagos-based lawyer, Dele Farotimi, for alleged defamation of Are Afe Babalola (SAN).
He stated that if Dele Farotimi, is not granted bail by tomorrow, December 20, informations about Are Afe Babalola will be released.
Recall that Farotimi was arraigned on December 4 for allegedly publishing a book “Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System’ where he exposed the corrupt Judiciary and procured judgements in the Supreme Court under Babalola.
Recall also that the Ekiti magistrate court adjourned Farotimi’s bail application ruling to December 20, 2024.
Farotimi pleaded not guilty to all the sixteen count charges and was then remanded in prison custody and has been in prison since then.

However, upset by the Farotimi’s continuous detention, Charly Boy in a post shared on his official X handle stated that this is not the time for jokes.
He wrote,”WARNING: If dem no release Dele on bail Tomorrow, we are going to go Ballistic with the information we have on Are Babalola. We won’t be playing dis time. Enough of dis Nonsense. Dia Father’s.”
