The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has stated that foreign aids. will not be needed if he was the president of Nigeria.
Obi made this known while speaking at at town Hall meeting in Canada on the 3rd of May 2024.
He stated that Nigeria has all she needs to be a better country. In his words, “During my recent visit to Canada, I had the opportunity to explore Brampton, a city renowned for its rapid growth, earning its accolades not just within Canada but across North America, including a consistent AAA rating from Standard and Poor (S & P) over the past 8 years.

“Brampton, like many cities globally, thrives on the energy and harnessing of human potential for sustainable growth and development. The lessons gleaned from Brampton’s experience in productivity and leadership commitment serve as invaluable insights for our nation.
“Nigeria has it all, to be a super Country, If I was the president, I will stop foreign aids. I won’t be going around lobbying or begging for aids. We do not need them.
i’lll roll up my sleeves in here and do the tough work. Nigeria has everything it needs. God gave us everything”, he added.
