The Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo, has appointed an additional 130 special assistants to join his administration.
This announcement was made through a post on his X handle on Wednesday night, stating that the appointments would take effect on Thursday.
Ihunwo, appointed by Governor Siminalayi Fubara amid a political crisis in the state, had previously named 100 special assistants in July 2024. With this new batch, the total number of special assistants in his administration now stands at 230 within six months.
In his post, Ihunwo wrote, “I have appointed the following persons as my Special Assistants.”
The newly appointed special assistants include Helen Nyekwere, Josephine Wogu, Daisy Worgu, Wagwu Amaoge Hilda, Ogbonna Ezinne Stella, Goodness Ogbonda, Iroanya Nancy N., Dorathy Otuonye Waibiekwu, Mrs. Grace Amadi, Evelyn Okolo, Favour Wopara Uche, Ede Agnes, Blessing Worlu, Eke Stella, Adewoyin M. Latifat, Orlu Grace Oluchi, Jennifer Humphrey, Rachael Morris, Sylverline Oluchi, Wosu Elizabeth Obinuchi, Fortune Ihuoma Isi, and Leona Humphrey.
Other appointees include Ogor Omasirichi, Sarima Hephzibah C., Rose Amadi, Juliet Eke Sarima, Patience Chisa Wokoma, Mairo Zakari, Vivian Clinton, Emil’s Seibidor, Godknows Echem, Derego Ekine, Timothy Chike, Omezi Gospel Anaebom, Nyeche Vision Okagwa, Ben C. Chinda, Edna Happiness Malumi, Wobo Ren Dwight, Stanley Amadi, Eric Akaniniwo, Nduka Wobo, Solomon Walia, Ajoku Emeka Ndubuisi, Emenike Okobueze David, and Amarachi Grace Amadi.
