Similar to his boasting in the build-up to the 2023 Presidential election where massive rigging and killing of voters were recorded, according to European Union reports, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vowed to ensure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the upcoming Edo State gubernatorial election in September.
He made this known in an engagement with party members from the state captured in a viral video.
The former governor of Lagos State was heard boasting, “You know me well. We know Adam Oshiomole well. We’re still going to fight further. Don’t worry, we’re with you. You’ll not walk alone. One thing I can assure you, I will give Edo back to you.”
Reacting, @Chinyere on X said, “You forced yourself on Nigerians by rigging the last election through the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and you are here again threatening ahead of a supposed peaceful state election? When will Nigeria be liberated from democratic tyranny?
@Adeleke believes, “Just the way it happened in the last election, “Edo election will be rigged and the citizens will move on. We’re used to it. But the assurance is this, it won’t continue this way.”
Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is known for thuggery, drug dealerships, and social miscreancy as a governor and an individual in past years, and historically, due process is allergic to this category of people.
By Tinubu’s statement, Edo State is on the alert to either stand their ground or shiver on the election days, as the poll will determine what happens or befalls them in the next four years.
