The Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen, who dazzled fans during his 2024–25 loan spell at Galatasaray, is back in Turkey to complete a permanent €75 million move from Napoli.
He was greeted at the airport on Wednesday evening by thousands of ecstatic Galatasaray supporters, some of whom had been tracking his flight live on the club’s YouTube channel.
Napoli will receive €40 million upfront for the striker, with the remaining €35 million to be paid by the end of 2026. Osimhen, now 26, will undergo his medical and sign the contract on Thursday.
Speaking to the press at the airport, a visibly emotional Osimhen described the moment as a homecoming:
“I’m home, this is where I want to be… I’m happy to continue with Galatasaray.”

He also led fans in a passionate chant before thanking the club’s management and supporters for making his return possible.
His permanent move marks a major milestone for Galatasaray, who are keen to build on last season’s success with the prolific striker leading their attack once again.
