Following their success in Saturday’s governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to present certificates of return to Ondo governor-elect Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy.
The commission stated that the certificates would be issued on Wednesday at INEC’s headquarters in Abuja.
Rotimi Oyekanmi, INEC’s Chief Press Secretary, confirmed the development, saying, “The certificates of return will be presented by the commission to the governor-elect and his deputy on Wednesday.”

Aiyedatiwa, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), secured victory in the election with 366,781 votes, defeating the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Agboola Ajayi, who polled 117,845 votes.
