Iran has vowed to respond to recent attacks by Israel and the United States, warning that its retaliation will be “crushing.”
On Saturday, explosions were reported in the Iranian cities of Kermanshah, Lorestan, Tabriz, Isfahan, and Karaj.
Israel Katz stated, “The State of Israel launched a pre-emptive attack against Iran to remove threats to the State of Israel.”
The strike comes after a 12-day air war between Israel and Iran in June, along with repeated warnings from United States and Israel that they would act again if Iran continued its nuclear and ballistic missile programmes.
An Iranian official told the Reuters news agency that Tehran is preparing counterattacks that will be “crushing.”
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, was reportedly not in Tehran when missiles struck, and has been moved to a secure location.
Reacting to the attacks, Ebrahim Azizi, Head of the National Security Commission of the Iranian parliament, warned:
“We warned you! Now you have started down a path which end is no longer in your control,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump said the strikes were carried out to protect American interests, “A short time ago, the United States military began major combat operations in Iran.

“Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime, a vicious group of very hard, terrible people.
“Its menacing activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our bases overseas, and our allies throughout the world,” he posted on his Truth Social account.
