‘Is Tinubu Not An Insult to Nigeria?’—Aisha Yesufu

Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has stated that Chief Bola Tinubu is a disgrace to Nigeria.

Yesufu’s outburst comes following the news of how the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) described as deeply disappointing the behaviour of Kenya Airways staff member who insulted the office of Bola Tinubu.

Recall that in a video which surfaced online, it showed a Kenya Airways agent delaying a Nigerian passenger at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport following an altercation.

In the  the video, the airline employee is heard telling the Nigerian passenger that she will not be allowed to fly Kenya Airways again, and when the passenger said she was on the phone with Nigeria’s finance minister, the agent said she could call the Nigerian president if she liked.

Meanwhile, during a meeting with Kenya Airways officials, including Country Manager James Nganga, Station Manager Eric Mukira, and Duty Manager Ezenwa Ehumadu, on Tuesday, Achimugu stated that the airline’s response was far from professional.

He said,“I expressed deep disappointment about the unruly Kenya Airways staff who insulted the office of the President of Nigeria, insinuating that the airline could do anything to Nigerians and nothing would happen.

“I asked if this manner of addressing customer complaints was the airline’s standard protocol.

“The country manager stated in very clear terms that the staff was out of order and apologized for the outburst.

When asked what disciplinary measures will be taken against their personnel, he said that his bosses in Nairobi would decide.”

However, reacting to this development, Aisha Yesufu took to her official X handle and wrote, “Is Tinubu himself not an insult to Nigeria?
