Israel-Hamas Ceasefire to Begin Sunday Morning After Israeli Government Approves Agreement

A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will take effect at 08:30am (06:30 GMT) on Sunday, according to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

The announcement came after a meeting between Israeli officials, which led to the ratification of the agreement early on Saturday morning.

The agreement marks a significant development after more than 460 days of conflict, in which over 46,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 110,000 have been wounded.
