At least 19 people died in an Israeli airstrike on a mosque in the Gaza Strip early Sunday.
The mosque, located near the main hospital in Deir al-Balah, was sheltering displaced individuals
The Associated Press reports that the bodies in the morgue at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, as confirmed by hospital records, were all male.
Israel, which stated it had targeted a Hamas command center located among civilians, has intensified its operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon as the conflict with Iran-aligned groups escalates.

Avichay Adraee, Israeli military spokesman, said, “We are in a new phase of the war,” and urged evacuations in northern Gaza.
In Beirut, Israeli strikes hit Hezbollah sites throughout the night. Hezbollah reported targeting Israeli soldiers with a rocket salvo.
Iran’s foreign minister said, “We are trying to reach a cease-fire in Gaza and in Lebanon.”
