An Israeli delegation of working-level negotiators has traveled to Qatar to engage in talks about a potential hostage-ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, according to reports from Israeli media (Channel 12).
The delegation’s trip was authorized by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who announced the decision on Thursday.
Representatives from Hamas are also expected to arrive in Doha to participate in the discussions.
The negotiations, facilitated by Qatari mediators, aim to de-escalate regional tensions and provide humanitarian relief.
However, recent reports suggest that the talks have reached a stalemate, raising concerns about the release of hostages and broader ceasefire terms.
Neither party has released official statements regarding the current status of the discussions. The efforts are part of an international initiative to address the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
