Nigerian musician Jesse Jagz Abaga has urged citizens to speak out against the growing insecurity in the country, following fresh attacks in Kwara State that reportedly left over 100 residents dead.
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists killed a large number of people in Woro and Nuku communities in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, in one of the deadliest incidents of violence seen in the region this year.

According to local lawmakers and humanitarian officials, the assailants stormed the villages on Tuesday evening, shooting residents and setting fire to homes and shops.
The death toll has risen sharply, with estimates now ranging from at least 162 to about 170 people killed in the assault, making it one of the most brutal attacks in Nigeria in recent months.
Eyewitnesses and officials described how villagers were rounded up and executed, with bodies later found in homes and on streets. Many residents fled into surrounding bushland to escape the violence, while others were reportedly abducted.
In a statement on Thursday, Jagz criticized government inaction, saying that supporting a government that fails to protect its citizens amounts to complicity, not politics.

He called on Nigerians to demand accountability and ensure that their voices are heard.

‘’Supporting a government that fails its primary duty isn’t politics, it’s complicity, we are losing people, not statistics. Time for everybody to speak up now – Enough is enough.’’
The musician’s comments come after renewed reports of violent attacks in parts of the country, which have left many communities in mourning and heightened fears over public safety.
