Joe Biden to Withdraw from 2024 Election on Health Grounds Amid Steep Decline in Approval Ratings

According to a prominent JPMorgan strategist, Michael Cemblast, there is a forecast that President Joe Biden will opt out of the 2024 election due to health reasons.

Among his ten “surprise” predictions for the year, Cemblast’s third speculation revolves around President Biden abandoning his pursuit of a second term.

Cemblast suggests that the withdrawal will likely occur post-Super Tuesday, the day when a majority of states conduct primary elections and caucuses.

Attributing the decision to declining health, Cemblast anticipates that President Biden will leave the selection of his successor for the 2024 election to the Democratic National Committee.

The JPMorgan heavyweight added: “Biden has a low approval rating for a President with ~10 percent job creation since his inauguration, although that figure is the by-product of his inauguration coinciding with the rollout of COVID vaccines and a reopening US economy.”

Mr. Cemblast is of the opinion that the President’s declining popularity in polls will significantly influence his decision-making.

In a November survey conducted by the New York Times and Siena College, only 37 percent of respondents expressed trust in Mr. Biden’s handling of the economy.

This week, speculation about Mr. Biden’s mental state resurfaced when he appeared confused during an event at Valley Forge in Pennsylvania. David Axelrod, a key strategist behind Barack Obama’s 2008 election victory, has voiced apprehensions about Mr. Biden’s age.

He said: “I think that there is one issue that is hanging over him.

“I think with Donald Trump on the other end, he could still win this election. But the age issue is difficult.”

John B. Judis, a longtime political strategist and author, also believes that Mr. Biden’s could prove costly for the Democrats.

He said, “He doesn’t look and speak the part. He’s not a commanding or charming presence on a presidential or presidential election stage.

“I think a lot of voters, and young people in particular, who are not at all put off by his political positions or accomplishments, are put off by his utter failure as a regal persona.

“And I don’t know how that can be fixed. Not by bicycling. Biden’s best hope in that regard is the voters’ perception of Trump as a bad or even evil father who wants to wreck the family.”
