Ven. David Arinze Ajaefobi, an Anglican priest serving as the Archdeacon of Oyi Central Archdeaconry and Vicar of St. James’ Parish, Awkuzu, has reportedly been abducted.
According to a source speaking with Daily Post, the priest was allegedly taken by unidentified individuals on Saturday night.
The source said, “The abduction occurred around 9:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the entrance gate of St James’ Parish, Awkuzu, in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.”
At the time of this report, the abductors have not reached out to the priest’s family with any demands or explanation for his abduction.
A church representative confirmed that prayer sessions have been organized for his safe return.

When contacted, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, stated that the police had not received any report regarding the incident.
