JUST IN: Tinubu to Travel to Dubai on Wednesday

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to participate in the COP28 Climate Summit, also known as the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP28).

This was disclosed in a press release made available to journalists by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.

The World Leaders’ Summit, scheduled for December 1 and 2, 2023, themed “Unite, Act, and Deliver,” will feature Tinubu delivering a national statement that emphasizes Nigeria’s position on critical issues, including renewable energy and climate financing.

Given the significant impact of climate change on Nigeria, including challenges such as desertification, flooding, erosion, drought, and associated national security risks, Bola Tinubu aims to utilize this global platform to advocate for increased financial and technical support to developing nations.
