The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Moses Thomas Sule, has stepped down from his role.
Following suit, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Gwottaon Fom, has also tendered his resignation.
In the wake of the resignations, Gabriel Dawang, the representative for Pankshin North, has been chosen as the new Speaker.
Meanwhile, Hon. Timothy Dantong, who represents Riyom constituency, has assumed the position of Deputy Speaker in the Assembly.

Speculation arises that these changes may be linked to the removal of Governor Caleb Mutfwang and certain PDP lawmakers in the state assembly.
