Community of Adama Gindin Dutse in Doka, Kufana District, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, witnessed a somber mass burial on Monday for villagers ruthlessly killed by terrorist during a horrific attack on Sunday.

The victims, tragically burnt beyond recognition, compelled authorities to organize the mass burial to address the grim aftermath of the assault.

The terrorists, in a sizable group, launched a brutal attack around 6 am, mercilessly killing residents and leaving a trail of destruction by setting homes ablaze.

Expressing condemnation for the heinous act, the state government, represented by Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, on Sunday, directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to provide vital assistance to the grieving victims and affected community.

Survivors of the Sunday massacre recounted their harrowing experiences, lamenting the attackers’ cruel act of burning the victims postmortem.

One of the survivors, who sought anonymity, explained how he escaped from the attackers, saying it was just the grace of God that saw him through.

He revealed that he escaped and hid inside the animals’ hut, stressing that he was able to make calls to soldiers, who responded immediately, forcing the bandits to leave the area.

“This is a remote village, and as far as we are concerned, they only came to wipe the community completely with the way they killed and set people’s bodies on fire,” he stated.

The survivor pleaded for immediate intervention from Governor Uba Sani. He appealed for additional security personnel deployment to the area, emphasising the critical need for food supplies to alleviate the suffering of the traumatized villagers. #Kaduna
