Former federal lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani highlighted the prevailing insecurity in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Sani, through his X handle, expressed deep concern over the daily struggles faced by the people in Kajuru, who now contend with both bandits and terrorists.
Sani recalled a disturbing incident from five years ago when leaders and elders of the Adara ethnic group were unjustly arrested by the Kaduna State Government following terrorist attacks that claimed lives in the region.
The former senator painted a grim picture of recent events, citing the kidnapping of over 50 farmers and the abduction of the Emir of Kajuru three years ago, who was released after a ransom was paid.
Highlighting the vulnerability of the region, Sani also mentioned the Bethel Baptist High School, situated in Kajuru, where students were kidnapped in 2021.
Notably, the paramount ruler of the Adara ethnic group, Agom Adara Maiwada Galadima, was tragically killed five years ago after a meeting with an unnamed State Governor.

“In 2018, the paramount ruler of the Adara ethnic group, Agom Adara Maiwada Galadima was killed after meeting with the state Governor. Some 5 years ago, the Kaduna state government unjustly arrested the leaders and elders of the Adara ethnic groups and kept them in prison after their people were killed by terrorists. The latest one now has 42 kidnapped. In Kajuru, they live and survive each day with Bandits in the day and terrorists in the night.”
