Kamala Harris, the Vice President of United States and the Democratic nominee in the 2024 US presidential election, has picked Tim Walz as her running mate.
Harris says Minnesota governor has “delivered for working families” as the pair gear up for a November vote against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance.
Tim Walz confirming the nomination on his X handle said “it is the honor of a lifetime to join Harris in the 2024 election race. “
Vice President Harris is showing us the politics of what’s possible. It reminds me a bit of the first day of school. So, “let’s get this done, folks! Join us”, he added.

Trump’s campaign slams the Democratic Party ticket as “every American’s nightmare” and describes Walz as a “dangerously liberal extremist”.
Democrats have quickly rallied around her as their candidate after US President Joe Biden abruptly dropped out of the race last month amid concerns over his age.
