In response to the challenges posed by the recent fuel subsidy removal, Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina has taken a proactive step to alleviate the financial burden on civil servants and pensioners.
The governor has given the go-ahead for a special monthly stipend of N10,000 for civil servants and N5,000 for pensioners in the state.
This decision is part of Governor Radda’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of workers and fulfilling a pledge to gradually introduce palliative measures.
The move aims to cushion the impact of the fuel subsidy removal, which has led to economic hardships across the country.
