Kcee Fires Back at 'Troubled Artiste' Harrysong Over claims of Writing His Hit Songs, Urges for Prayer

Afrobeat Singer and Co-founder of Five Star Music, Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee has vehemently responded to allegations made by his former signee, Harrysong, who claimed to have written most of Kcee’s hit songs during his time with the label.

Recall that Harrysong has continuously called out Kcee and his brother and business partner, E-Money, over allegations of holding his musical rights.

He equally claimed he wrote most of the ‘Limpopo’ crooner’s hit songs.

Kcee dismissed the accusations in a recent episode of the Afrobeats podcast, revealing that Harrysong was still in the village with his grandmother when he won Star Quest talent show with his former partner, Presh, and got signed to Kennis Music.

Highlighting his own journey, Mr. Limpopo pointed out that he produced three albums with Kennis Music, questioning whether Harrysong could claim credit for those as well.

He pointed out that it has been eight years since Harrysong left Five Star Music and he is still producing hits without him in the label.

Expressing concern for Harrysong’s well-being, Kcee suggested the need for prayers, indicating that the troubled artist is also facing challenges in his personal life, including conflicts with his wife and former manager, Soso.

“When I won Star Quest, Harrysong was in the village with his grandmother. I did three albums with Kennis Music, did Harrysong write those? Harrysong has a problem, we need to pray for him. Jokes apart, we need to pray for him,” Kcee stated.
