Kebbi Govt Sacks Three District Heads Over Gross Misconduct

The Kebbi State government has ousted three district heads due to their involvement in gross misconduct, insubordination, abscondment, fraud, and partisanship.

The Local Government Service Commission Chairman, Alhaji Mansur Shehu, made the announcement during a media briefing on Thursday. According to Shehu, the dismissals were executed in accordance with the Public Service Rules (PSR), and the decision followed thorough investigations and consultations.

The district heads were found to have violated several rules, including Public Service Rule (PSR) 030302, which pertains to gross misconduct, PSR 030301, related to movement without permission, and PSR 030302 & 030407, leading to dismissal.

The deposed district heads are Alhaji Lawal Yakubu, formerly Mai Arewan Yeldu in Arewa Local Government Area; Malam Ahmed Sani, previously Sarkin Gabas Geza in Dandi LGA; and Alhaji Tukur Aliyu, formerly Jagwadejin Bakuwe from Suru LGA, all within Gwandu Emirate.
