Kidnappers who kidnapped ten persons from Sagwari Estate Layout in Dutse in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on January 7, 2024, have slain two more of the abductees to send a harsh message to their families negotiating ransom payments.
According to evidence received, after killing some of the kidnapping victims, the criminals boosted their demand from the initial N60 million per person to N100 million, totaling N700 million.
The victims allegedly died as a result of the kidnappers’ failure to raise the ransom demand on time, according to the locals.
It was also reported that a 13-year-old secondary school student named Folorunsho Ariyo was among those killed.
On Friday, it was reported that the kidnappers, who also operated in some Bwari areas, had killed one of the six abducted people, Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, to force the family to pay the requested ransom promptly.
