A member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), identified as Olugbenga Olawore, along with other passengers of a 14-seater bus, has been abducted in Oyo State.
According to reports from DAILY POST on Saturday, the pastor and fellow travelers were taken on Friday while the bus was traveling towards Lagos State. Olawore, who is currently serving as a pastor at Heavens Gate Parish, RCCG Lagos Province 73, situated along Agbara-Lusada Road in Ogun State, was among those kidnapped.
Sources disclosed that the abduction took place around the Maya area of Lanlate-Eruwa Road at approximately 5 pm on Friday.
It was revealed that Olawore had been returning from Ipapo town, where he was involved in the final arrangements for his mother’s burial.

The burial ceremonies for the pastor’s mother, Deaconess Deborah Olawore, were scheduled to commence with a Christian wake on Friday, April 26, followed by the burial itself on Friday, May 3rd.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, SP Adewale Osifeso, affirmed the occurrence on Saturday.
Osifeso, in a response to DAILY POST inquiry, said, “Investigation is in progress.
“Updates will be provided accordingly, please.”
