Rapper Killer Mike, also known as Michael Render, found himself in police custody on Sunday night shortly after achieving a triumphant victory with three Grammy awards.

The arrest unfolded just after 4 p.m. PT when Render was detained and handcuffed by law enforcement. The incident occurred at the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court, in close proximity to the Crypto.com Arena where the Grammys ceremony took place, according to ABC News.

Render was taken into custody over allegations of involvement in a physical altercation. Following his detainment, he was transported to Central Division and booked on a misdemeanour battery charge.
