Kogi State Residents Rescue Boy Buried Alive by Elder Brother

The Kogi State Command of the Nigerian Police has apprehended a 19-year-old named Goodness Oshodi. He is alleged to have buried his step-brother, Friday Oshodi, alive under the directive of their mother. The reason for this horrifying act was reportedly the theft of N10,000 by Friday.

This shocking incident took place on Tuesday evening in the Apamisede Community, located in the Adavi local government area of the state. Fortunately, neighbors were able to rescue the victim in time.

Eyewitnesses recount that the boys’ step-mother instructed her eldest son, Goodness, to punish Friday for stealing her N10,000. In carrying out his mother’s orders, Goodness first severely beat Friday before deciding on the drastic measure of burying him alive.

When questioned about his actions, Goodness stated that he was merely following their mother’s instructions to discipline Friday for his theft. He added that their mother was at church when he carried out the act.

The incident has been confirmed by SP William Aya, the state police public relations officer. He stated that Goodness is currently under arrest and being interrogated.
