Renowned Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, also known as Kwam 1, has voiced concerns over the escalating levels of insecurity and economic distress plaguing Nigeria, urging swift action from Bola Tinubu.
Addressing a gathering on Thursday, Kwam 1 highlighted the pressing issues confronting Nigerians, including rampant kidnappings, fuel shortages, and the devaluation of the naira, lamenting the profound impact on citizens’ livelihoods. He emphasized, “Fuel crisis and naira freefall have made salaries worthless for working Nigerians.Nigerians are crying and weeping, we are suffering and there is no electricity.”
Expressing his disappointment, Kwam 1 questioned the surge in criminal activities, particularly kidnapping, and demanded answers from the authorities. “Nigerians are angry, traders are angry, why is kidnapping on the increase?” he queried, echoing the sentiments of many disillusioned citizens.
Despite his critique, Kwam 1 reaffirmed his faith in Tinubu’s leadership but urged prompt intervention to alleviate the nation’s woes. “I am begging citizens, let us be patient for Akanbi (Mr Tinubu), he will restore everything,” he asserted, reflecting his unwavering support for the political figure.
