Kwankwaso Urges Yusuf to Concede, Advices Him to Join APC Ahead of 2027

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ilyasu Kwankwaso, has advised Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to gracefully accept his recent defeat at the Appeal Court.

Kwankwaso, a former commissioner, emphasized the futility of pursuing the case further to the Supreme Court, citing compelling evidence against Yusuf. Expressing satisfaction with the APC’s victory, Kwankwaso commended the newly affirmed governor-elect, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, urging him and deputy governor-elect Alhaji Sule Garo to focus on governance.

Notably, He extended an unexpected invitation to Yusuf to join the APC, assuring him of political tutelage. While acknowledging the disappointment of Yusuf’s appeal, he underscored the need for the ousted governor to regroup and consider a political comeback in 2027 under a more viable party.
