Kwara Residents Protest at Emir's Palace in Ilorin

Due to hunger and frustration, residents of Kwara State gathered at the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin today, protesting against the severe economic challenges faced under Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.

Video circulating on X revealed that the atmosphere was charged with discontent as the crowd chanted, “We are Hungry, The state is Hungry.”

The primary grievance voiced by the protesters revolves around the skyrocketing prices of essential food items in the local markets.

Inflation, coupled with the significant fall of the naira in the foreign exchange (FX) market, has created an untenable situation for many Nigerians, and the residents of Kwara state are no exception.
