Lagos State Govt Announces Date for Unveiling Red Line Rail

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disclosed on Thursday that the much-anticipated Red Line rail project is set to be unveiled to the public in February.

Speaking at the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall Meeting held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja.

The Governor revealed that the state government has officially communicated with Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, inviting him to preside over the unveiling ceremony.

Sanwo-Olu stated, “Our Red Line rail will be unveiled in February. In fact, we have written officially to Mr President to come and help us unveil it in February this year.”

The Red Line, spanning 37 kilometers, is planned to connect Agbado to Marina, featuring key stations at Agbado, Iju, Agege, Ikeja, MMIA International (domestic), Oshodi, Mushin, Yaba, Ebute Metta, Iddo, Ebute Ero, and Marina. The project aims to enhance transportation infrastructure and connectivity across the state.
