VIDEO: Lagos Agency Appeals for Help Identifying Woman Assaulting Baby in viral video

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who was caught on video assaulting a baby for urinating on the floor.

In a post shared on its verified Twitter handle @LSdsva on Saturday, the agency condemned the act and urged the public to help locate the woman.

The viral video shows the woman using a rod to beat the baby, ignoring the child’s cries. She also pushes the baby to the ground and steps on the infant’s stomach with both legs.

It is unclear whether the perpetrator in the video is the child’s mother or a maid.

In response to the video, the DSVA urged the public to provide any information about the incident’s location or the person involved.

The agency’s message read, “Trigger warning. Our attention has been drawn to the video.

“If you have any information about the person involved or the location, please send us a DM or call our toll-free line – 08000333333 to make a report.”
